Christian Prayer and Fasting (CPF) asks you for your prayers. This site requires prayer to remain active and protected from the evil one.
Your prayers are specifically requested in the following areas:
#1 - That the content of this site speaks truthfully of the nature of God the Creator and of the nature of both prayer and fasting.
#2 - That Christians might be drawn to the site to have their faith strengthened, and to be able to pray and fast better and more consistently.
#3 - That the Site-Administrator (Nicholas Chorba) and his family may be faithful in their walk with God. This is not to be selfish, but to protect the site itself. The Site-Administrator is the primary contributor and moderator to this site, and as such needs to be of the right spirit.
#4 - That the unbelievers of the world might find faith in the blood of Jesus Christ to cover their sins. May this be done either through their visiting this site, or through the prayer and witnessing of the Christians who visit this site.

I have had serious depression from i was little. I am now 29 years old, but i am still afflicted with it. I cannot sleep because of it. my mother and i cannot get along because of it and so too my father. I am scared because I don’t know what is going to happen to me.I have always been able to deal with the depression by myself however I was part of a situation that went bad last year and i,ve been trying to mentally deal with it for a year now. This has only added fuel to the fire and it is making my life a living hell. The depression and social problems caused me not to be able to relate to girls and girls to be able to relate to me and that is why at this moment and on many occasions, i have not had a girlfriend. People don’t understand me, they think i am evil. please pray that my mother and father will understand me because they dont, neither does anybody else. I want to be understood. Please PRAY for me

He has left me once more. He says he does not want to continue relationship with me. In the country we live, it is very difficult to marry a woman who was divorced and has a child. He is fighting with himself to accept the fact and with the family and the whole surroundings. I think it is unfair to leave the person just because she was divorced. Please pray for Malachi who is a seven year old boy with cancer. His cancer was in remission for a year and a half after having a bone marrow transplant but now it is back and very bad. He has had to take chemo treatments this week. He will have two weeks before beginning treatments again, however, it is very possible that he will grow weaker and need blood transfusions during this time.

As christians we must do our part to earnestly pray for the people in the Middle East that they will find Jesus Christ in midst of all of the problems. Pray that the Muslims, Jews and Christians begin to have peaceful discussions which will begin dialogue that can lead to peace and worship and praise which will lead them to the knowledge of the truth and thus salvation. We must continue to pray for our enemies and the foreign leaders of Iraq and the Middle East as a whole. It is through this act that great strides can come about to heal the land and its people.
I am a pastor who moved to Texas 11 months. My wife is a school teacher. We told the church that I pastor that we would need two incomes and were told that with school board members in the church she would have no problems getting a position. In March our savings ran out. We have now dipped deep into Retirement. We have recently found out that her teaching certification will expire and her Oklahoma inservice hours will not apply. In order to meet requirements, she will have to sit out 2007-8 school year and go back to college, which requires funds we no longer have. We have been praying with great intensity for the past two months and God seems to be telling us He will move us back to Oklahoma so that my wife can teach (which is her calling). Two churches have my resume, but have not made contact with us yet. Please pray for God to lead us and deliver us out of this difficult time. God has taught me several key lessons and has showed me that He is purging our lives (John 15:2) that we may bear much more fruit. We are in an intense battle of prayer and the enemy seems to be trying to resist the answer. Please pray with us!
Please pray for God to deliver me from being overweight. I have gained back almost all of the weight I lost over a 4 year period. I have given up hope for myself and I have spent thousands of dollars on weight loss. I am tired of being obsessed with this problem when I should be thinking about the Lord. First I would like to report a miracle!!! My Mother went in for surgery today for breast cancer. After cutting my mother and removing small amounts of tissue the doctors reported seeing nothing that looked like cancer in her anymore!!! GOD IS WONDERFUL
I would also like to thank everyone for the continued prayers for my wife and I. We are still separated. She told me months ago that she thinks she is gay and has since moved out. We speak almost daily and still love one another. Please pray that God will speak to her and bring her back home in my arms.

I have fasted 14 days. Does God hear me and see how serious I am of what I ask or should I quit?

I’m sorry that I’ve not responded sooner to you.
Is one meal enough? Or forty days? The Bible doesn’t prescribe any particular length of time to the Christian to fast.
As such, I would direct you towards the doctrine of Christian liberty that is derived from Romans 14. Essentially, each believer must be fully convinced in his own mind upon any matter that is not explicitly stated (in context) by the Bible, or any matter to which has a principle derived (in context) from the Bible.
Because of the lack of exact direction in this matter, until it might be further revealed to me, I would tell you that the length of time would be best known to each individual by their own sense, according to their own individual faith.
Has God heard you? God is present everywhere, and therefore He has certainly “heard” what you have prayed for, at least in that sense. He would have “heard” you even if you would have never fasted at all.
But, has God accepted your prayer? This is likely more specifically what you meant when you asked if God has heard your prayers. It is also much more difficult to answer, hence your question.
D, I don’t personally know you for anything other than the question that you pose. If you have not yet believed that Christ’s blood is the ONLY thing in the world that cleans your sin away from you, then it is likely that God hasn’t accepted your prayer yet, because you are not yet a child of God. You may fast until you die, and it won’t really matter.
D, if you have not yet repented of your sins, not that you are perfect (for we all stumble), then I don’t know if you’ve exhibited that you actually do have faith. We are not forgiven by our actions, but if we have faith then we DO have actions that show that this faith is alive. Head knowledge of Christ’s saving blood doesn’t mean that someone is saved from the consequences of their sins. If you lack repentance, then again, you may not be a child of God, and it is unlikely that God would accept your prayers.
If you are a child of God (and no, we are not all children of God), and especially if you are walking faithfully and confessing and repenting your sins as you go, then you at least have open access to God’s throne room to ask of Him whatever you will.
However, even children of God fall into temporary unrepentant sin that may cloud God’s receptiveness to our prayers.
The further question here is, “Is what we will the same as God’s will?” This isn’t as difficult a question as it usually seems. God’s will is mostly spelled out for us in the Bible. If we read it, we know it. Nearly every decision or request we can make in life is covered there. The specifics of our situations and prayer requests may differ from person to person, but it is at least 90% there.
If you are a child of God, then the Holy Spirit has come to live inside of you forever. You have, to the best of your ability and with the aid of the Holy Spirit, repented of your sins and are walking in the way of God. The Holy Spirit then prompts you with the desires of God. The desires of God lead you to pray and ask for certain things. God answers your prayers because He was the one who put the desire in you to ask for that request in the first place.
Thus, if you are in the will of God, you can ask a mountain to jump into the sea and it will.
D, if you are a child of God, and have no unrepentant sin in your life, and what you ask for is lined up with God, then it is extremely likely that God has accepted your prayers. Even if you had not fasted in the first place.
However, that doesn’t always mean that we will get what we ask for, as God deals with a much larger picture than we see from our limited (and often selfish) viewpoint.
Why then do we bother to fast?
Is it to gain special favor with God to hear our prayers? To take this position takes away from the spilt blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. It implies that His blood was not enough to clear the way for our prayers to be heard by the Father.
Is it to twist God’s arm that He do our bidding? God forbid it! This line of reasoning is akin to magic. Do this, that, and/or the other thing, and you will gain the result that you desire. Yet, how often what we desire is not what we need, and is often even harmful to us, even if what we desire is meant with the best of intents. Our will does not take precedence over that of God’s will.
The true ends of fasting are rather well summed up by Lewis Bayly at http://christianprayerandfasting.com/2007/01/13/lewis-bayly-of-a-private-fast-4-of-the-ends-of-fasting/.
According to Bayly, they are: #1 To subdue our flesh to the Spirit . . .; #2 That we may more devoutly contemplate God’s holy will, and fervently pour forth our souls to him by prayer . . .; #3 That by our serious humiliation, and judging of ourselves, we may escape the judgment of the Lord; not for the merit of our fasting (which is none), but for the mercy of God, who has promised to remove his judgments from us, when we by fasting unfeignedly humble ourselves before him.
Note especially what he says here “. . . not for the merit of our fasting (which is none), but for the mercy of God, . . .”
There is no merit to ask anything of God apart from the blood of Jesus Christ, through which we obtain the mercy of God.
D, I hope that this has helped you.

Omitted names are in respect of privacy! Sister (A) asks for prayers for her sisters who is suffering with major breathing problems. Please pray for total healing - also for success to stop smoking.
Sister(B) has requested prayers for her brother, who is in St. Francis Hospital with dizziness, related to recent mini strokes.
Sister(C)asked prayers for her Mom, sister, and brother, who all suffered from the flood that hit Bartlesville, OK. They have bought a new home and friend has been helping them to get settled in. Please lift them up in your prayers as they are also suffering from health problems as well.
Another feels she is improving right along-still has soreness!
She fell coming out of St. Francis Hospital which has added to her soreness, but fortunately, the fall didn’t cause any complications to her surgery. Continued prayers are needed.
Another of our elders is home Saturday. Pray for his safety and that he will be strong enough to be at home by himself.
Another of our elders was moved to the Nursing Home in Ponca City. Pray for peace and comfort for his family and wife.
Just got an email from a friend of mine. Her friend’s mother, whom we prayed for passed away this weekend. Please pray for comfort for her family during this time of sorrow.
We have our regulars to pray for: One from pneumonia another for her and her friend who are going in for some physical tests, as well for other regular attendees who still need our prayers.

2. We need to construct walls on one side for the classrooms. The toilets need
to be constructed. A borewell needs to be dug because we are finding it difficult without it
to satisfy the water requirements.There is no proper road from the school connected to the

3. Please pray for the10th class students who are going to write board exam this
year for the first time in our school. Pray that we prepare them well to face the exam and
score excellent marks getting State ranks.
4. for the landlords to continue to allow us use the building which they have done last year since the construction is still
not complete. For the strength of my school to improve from 100(now) to 500 miraculously.(THIS YEAR)
Only that strength can clear my financial problems. I am worried because we are not getting any new admissions.I am worried

Please pray for the salvation of my fiancé Sohrab, he is an unbeliever of the Zaurastrian faith (an ancient Persian religion) that believes that you are born into this religion and there is no conversion into it, it is passed on by the male Zaurastrian. He believes Jesus is not the only way to the father, but one of many ways. He is currently in India on a secular missionary trip. (In the process of opening up a school). India is also his nationality, this is his first time in the country since he was a child. My prayer is that he would find the Lord there, this seems like the most unlikely place for him to find him but I ask that the Lord would meet him there, that he would supernaturally empower him, and convict him. I ask that the Lord would reveal himself to him just as he did Saul before he became Paul. I know his desire is to visit his Zaurastrian temple while he is out there, for there is no temple where we live, this is a dying faith since you can not convert into it and most men are marrying out of there faith and no longer practice. I ask that the Lord somehow convict him there and reveal the truth to him. I pray that the Lord have mercy on him and show his love to him. I pray that he would see that Jesus is the only way to the father. I am calling out for prayer worriers to intercede for the salvation of this man, my heart cries out for him and his family. I just wanted to ask for more prayer for my friend Sohrab, I previously asked for prayer of Salvation. My friend just came back from India, he was on a Secular mission trip. I asked that the Lord take him off his track just as he did Saul before he became Paul. I believe the Lord is stirring something in him because of your prayers. Just yesterday he told me that he feels out of sorts, he is questioning faith and God and doesn’t know what to do. He feels very confused and depressed. I told him to pray and ask God to reveal himself to him. He is of another faith and believes he was born into that faith and has no choice but to remain in this faith. We moved to another apartment and a few months later, one of their friends moved next door, and another moved above us, you can’t imagine the noise they keep. They even tell their children to run and jump over our heads all day. I can’t even take a shower without them knocking on the walls. We are two ladies, and most of the people who are doing the stalking are men. They have even followed me to another state, when I had gone on vacation. All this started, because we complained about them playing loud music, and all management told them was to lower the music. We do not deserve this. I know the Lord is not please with me, because I am living in fear. I stopped driving my car, and I was supposed to graduate from college this spring, but I didin’t. I stopped going to school. Lately, I have been having panic attacks, and I have woken up screaming, and I have heard them upstairs laughing at me. I have lost a lot of weight, and I have lost a lot of my hair, and I have caught them making fun about my hair. Please pray that this will come to an end soon, that we will have our peace back, and that the Lord will keep His Angels around us, at all times. God Bless,and thank you for praying for us.

Kindly uphold me in prayer for the baptism of the Holy Spirit today itself and now. I need a fresh anointing. I am fed up of living a mediocre worldly life. I have been requesting God for past 2 years that I want to live my life feeling His presence. I want God more real in my life. I want Holy Spirit to be my best friend and I want my heart to be more sensitive to God & His Voice and my spiritual eyes & ears to open so that I can clearly see and hear God. God is so good. God has confirmed to few men of God that He is going to get me married to this prayer pastor of our church but God wants me to submit 100% to God’s will alone. He wants me to live in the spirit alone and forget the fleshy desires. These men of God said that He will tell me personally soon that this pastor is meant for me but till then I am supposed to cut off all contacts or think of Him as if I knew Him so well and believe God will give me the best, before He personally gives me the go ahead He wants to work in me and prepare me (spiritually, physically and mentally). (Its really a very big test to forget Him for the time being and I am struggling yet overcoming and will pass the test in Jesus name). But I’m finding it too difficult as I have some things about the ministry to discuss. I wonder if these men of God said as Holy spirit inspiration of from their own flesh. The things that I need to discuss are ministry work I am doing with His encouragement. I only pray that God will ask the pastor to call me ‘coz now I can raise my concerns only to God.God had also mentioned to few that He has 2 ministries for me and 1 is a great Apostolic ministry for me and wants to reveal to me personally great things in my life of how He is going to use me in ministry. I too desire to live like this (a spirit led life with the fullness of Christ in me) and I made a decision since yesterday but I need yr prayer support too that Holy Spirit help me in my spiritual life from today. God is going to give me a man in marriage who is 100% spirit led and I was a mix (flesh + spirit) so before He gives me a go ahead signal for marriage, God wants me to be 100% Holy Spirit led too. I crave to live a life feeling God’s presence always. I crave to live in the fullness of God. Another prayer request is that a major part of the church is against us uniting and are trying maximum verbally and which ever ways possible to destroy us or our peace of mind. But we dont get shaken by what satan throws at us as we look to Jesus & God is upholding us with His right hand and filling us with His love, comfort and peace. I am a single mother of four daughters and back in November, the company I work for cut our hours so I have not been able to keep up with my payments on time. We’ve been so blessed that the owner of the home has been very helpful and undertstanding about the late payments, but now, it has become a strain on him as well. I only have till the end of April to come up with a solution or vacate the home. By the grace of God Almighty, I have found another job that is full-time and will be paying more, but time is running out for my house. I have no place to take my daughters should I have to move. I am in need Of some strong Prayers for Tom and I.I have been with Tom for 2 yrs now and every time he gets mad at me he isolates himself from me and acts like I do not exist.He will Ignore my phone calls and ect..I have gone through this with him b4.I even do not know why he is mad at me,I can sit here and guess but that does not change Anything.It has been Over a week since I heard anything from him,I saw him 1 time since this happened and he acted like he did not even know who I was.I was so embarrassed by this,cause everyone knows we r 2gether and they were all staring.as soon as he saw me he up and left.I do Understand that people deal with there anger differently than others,But this however is very unfair 2 me and my childern.When you are in a relationship and you Love someone you are supposed to have communacation,Well I see we do not have none cause he does this when he gets mad at me.I do take full responsability for whatever I did and said.And I have asked God for forgiveness,But I can not say that 2 him cause he will not answer the Phone.I have been Praying and Praying but no Breakthrough at ALL,I keep saying to myself just be Patience but that is running out as the day’s go by as well.I am now at my wits end with ALL of this I am getting very depressed and that Is not good for me cause Of my health Problems I have.Another thing I need Prayer 4 is that my mother was all on my side and said you wait till I see him,he is acting childish so on and so forth,Well she seen him and did not even say a word to him about it.They sat there and talked like nothing was going on.I am very upset with my mother Today.I know this is none of her buisness any way’s cause I am grown,but I feel like I was betrayed for some reason.Please Pray for us,I need a Break through of some kind,I feel like God is not Listening to my Prayers..Thank you and God Bless.

Hello today i am searching the web for resources that will help with identifying what i see in dreams and visions and so forth, and a long time ago God called me to do this as a lifestyle…. i am talkin bout fasting….. it was a hard in the beginging for me becasue my parents are excellent cooks….. we eat really good at my home. But Jesus kept reminding me of the truth He told me and and how faithful He is if we reamian faithful. My reason for this blog is that i would like to encourage the body to come into a much more closer realtionship with Him because of the manner of love that He has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. Just with prayer and fasting i notice that i see more and hear more and i am able to discern false doctrine from good doctrine, because of the fellowship withthe Holy Spirit and reading the Scriptures. Now the warfare you may encounter will be as a result of trying to breakthrough any negative issues that have ruled your life and days… i know for me it has been really hard and i cannot lie, but thanks be to God who causes us to triumph in christ Jesus. Let Him difuse a fragrence in you that will draw others to Him.The Spirit has been working with to tell waht my position is in the body and with others. Romans 12. I am really looking to be around belivers that are manifesting themselves as the Sons of God for real. Those who have overcome odds that the world say that no one can over come. I also found out that when you fast, certain information happens to come your way, answers to questions that might have had for years. Discernment aslo comes really quick to… rember when Jesus said that there are some things i want to tell you, but you cant bear them yet, but when the Spirit comes he will tell you everything thatyou need to Know….and guide you into all truth…. well He will….. also this week i Had a prophetic word that he gave me…. I was os excited, we heard through another prohet that from here until the end of June that The Lord is narrowing the way. Well we know that those who are led by the Spirit of are the Sons of God, and the wayt to life is narrow….. well the Spirit will be leading you on the narrow way only. I am currently fasting for the longest time I have ever done - it is a time-based fast and I break at six. Fasting has opened so many things for me - I have truly rejoined in communion with God and see myself doing this even more.
I am thankful that there is a space where we can share prayer and fasting.

Praise the lord !!! I had to abort my first baby because I had toxoplasmasis ( blood infection) during my pregnancy. I want o try for second baby now. My doctor said I can try from April 2009 but since then I am not ovulating at all. I have been detected of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Kindly pray that PCOS is healed and I start ovulating and I conceive a baby soon.
Please pray that I get conceived and I get a healthy baby boy. Kindly pray that I do not get this infection again and my baby should not be affected.I want a baby boy.Please pray.

4, A request for prayer and a praise for myself, I went in the hospital for a wound that would not heal on my foot and I found out I am diabetic. WEll the wound infection was in the bone. I asked for prayer that God heals the wound and the bone now that diabetes is diagnosed. I went
on leviquin which is a antibiotic that saturates in the system as well as drip antibiotics. And was miraculously healed. I did find out that all my levels are normal for the infection.
They went down all the way. The dr’s were astounded, they never expected that to happen. Praise God. Meaning the infection is gone. I am going for a mri to check and make sure the bone is
normal, thanks for prayer that this mri comes back fine as well. Thank you for all and God bless you. Also please pray that I do not lose my medical insurance.

As my parents are in old age and live in the Church Campus, Railyway Road Karnal. My Father is 84yr and Mother 74. My Father suffered with brain surgery after an accident in Nainital. He recovered and again had a brain en jury in June 2009. My Mother is a heart patient and they both keep going to Delhi for follow ups.
I hear is grieved as the maid servant Kuko 16yrs of age from Ruderapur has left us all of a sudden after saying that she was going to fell in her private from for class 10 exams from U P Board. But did not return. Last Sunday being 13 of September 2009. I contacted her but she says she is working as a nurse in a private hospital in Ruderapur. She really used to look after my parent in Karnal and she was an ANGEL sent by God.She nursed may Father during the second accident and I used to weep seeing such dedication
As I never has a daughter and use to love her as my own. I even promised to educate he and make her go B.Ed and make her a teacher. I told her a saving account would be opened for her as the salary was taken my her parents and I thought she should have money of her own also which would be helpful her her. My wife is a Principal in Bazpur told her the she would anything fro her and fro the children in future once she is married. She used to tell us that she would never leave us.
But now she has left. Why did she leave I prayed to Jesus Christ and the Lord did not answer my prayer. I looked for maid in place of her but no result. I want a miracle that the Lord Jesus Christ open her eyes and her parents eyes and she return back giving up he nursing job.

My name is Jerome Pierce a Born-again Christian for 25 years now, I’d like for any one Christians to pray in agreement that GOD Almighty Father in Heaven will bless me to receive/be approve of my Non –Service Connect pension from Pension Management Center in St. Paul, Minnesota where they make the decision (a group of people will look at my case claim for disability). I’d need it now because I’d been homeless for 10 months now and, where I’d stay at now where Homeless Veterans like me stay there time will be up for me in 2 months December 29, coming .I’d like to get my Pension approve this month November before thanks giving weekend so I’d can move to phoenix AZ by end of this month November. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to you, joyfully, knowing that you not only hear but answer every prayer made in faith by your children. Despite severe persecution (backbiting, character assassinating, hatred) that I am facing from my own relatives, I will still thank, praise and glorify your holy name, for you are always in control of all situations, which means that you are also in control of the end result. Whatever is said and done against me, Lord, I know and believe that as long as I abide in you and your Word abides in me, no weapon formed against me shall prosper, for my righteousness is from you. I choose to forgive them, Lord, for they do not know what they are doing, and I pray that you forgive them too.
Lord Jesus, you have said that by your stripes and wounds I have been healed. Believing in your Word and confessing with my lips Lord, I believe that my spinal problem (pain in lower back and all my back muscles) is healed, no matter what I feel, no matter how much physical pain I go through, my focus is and will always be on you, my God.
I also thank you Lord God for I am in the process of being healed from a relationship (which I have terminated with strength and grace I received from you) that I was led to believe was beautiful. I know and believe you have already created a godly life-partner for me, and I will wait with joyful anticipation for you to reveal that person to me. I thank you Lord, that you have also created a godly life-partner for my brother and you will reveal her to him and vice versa.
