Jesus - Man Does Not Live by Bread Alone (Matthew 4:1-4)

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After he fasted forty days and forty nights he was famished. The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.” But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Thank YOU LORD for speaking to us through this passage, by YOUR WORD, and by the teachings and actions of DEAR JESUS CHRIST our SAVIOR. When lent approaches, please help us to remember all YOU have done for us and how YOU, DEAR LORD GOD our HEAVENLY FATHER, gave us YOUR only SON to die for us so that our sins may be forgiven and so that we may live in your Eternal Kingdom forever. Please help us to also stay strong in the face of temptation and to not let the devil put us down. We know that with YOU we can stand strong with our faith by YOUR POWER and LOVE. GOD Bless all. In JESUS’S name, Amen.
